An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join Cornwall Foundation NHS Trust’s Centre for Mental Health and Justice. This role supports the Cornwall, Isles of Scilly and Plymouth Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway and the Intensive Integrated Risk Management Service (IIRMS), both part of a well-established multidisciplinary service.
Based primarily within Probation services, the role involves supporting Offender Managers through screening, consultation, joint casework, and workforce development. The IIRMS provides psychologically informed support for individuals transitioning from custody to the community. The Occupational Therapist plays a key role in assessing motivation, supporting life skills, and promoting meaningful activity to reduce risk behaviours.
Duties include delivering training, developing formulations, facilitating weekly Social Hubs in Plymouth and Cornwall, and supervising Support, Time and Recovery Workers. The role also includes involvement in a newly launched Psychologically Informed Planned Environment (PIPE) Approved Premises.

To provide consultation to Criminal Justice agencies and broader Centre for Mental Health and Justice duties as required/agreed.
Managerially: To be a member of the multi-disciplinary team within the IIRMS/OPD Team.
Responsibility for: Provide professional services using evidence based, client centred, principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate intervention and support with those service users within the IIRMS/OPD team. Provide clinical supervision and oversight of the Support, Time and Recovery Workers within the OPD/IIRMS team.
