Main duties of the job

As a Wheelchair Technician, your main duties will include assessing and repairing wheelchairs to meet individual client needs, performing regular maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on both manual and powered wheelchairs, and diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with wheelchair components and systems. You will also be responsible for setting up new wheelchairs according to manufacturer specifications and installing additional features as required by clinical team. Providing training and support to clients on the use and care of their wheelchairs is a key part of the role. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of services provided and monitor and manage the inventory of parts and supplies.
