An exceptional eye for detail and excellent organisational skills are also essential for this role and you will be expected to demonstrate initiative in planning your own workload, in a way that supports the work of the Senior nursing team.

Our Organisational Values are the foundation of the Health Board’s culture and should be demonstrated on a day to day basis in all that we do.

Main duties of the job

You will manage correspondence, emails and diaries, organise meetings, take and distribute minutes, and prepare reports and documentation using initiative and sound judgement. You will help maintain ward policy files, update ward information packs, and support the review and prioritisation of Datix incidents.

You will support workforce administration, including maintaining staff records, coordinating annual leave, monitoring sickness absence, supporting return‑to‑work processes, and assisting with PADR, induction, mandatory training and study leave in liaison with Learning and Development.

The role also includes supporting ward staffing by arranging temporary cover, liaising with the Bank Office, analysing rotas, completing e‑rostering to payroll deadlines, producing staffing reports, and liaising with Estates and EBME regarding equipment repairs.

This post is ideal for an experienced administrator who can manage competing priorities in a busy clinical environment. You will be a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, supporting staff, patient safety and effective service delivery.
