We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Administrator to join our busy Cardiac Day Unit.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a friendly and professional welcome. You will answer telephone calls, manage patient scheduling for cardiac procedures, and provide administrative support to the multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and IT skills, strong organisational abilities, and the confidence to work independently using their own initiative. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to multitask effectively, and remain calm under pressure while maintaining high standards of customer service.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, working flexibly between 7:30am and 6:00pm alongside a colleague to provide cover the service.
We encourage informal visits to the unit.
Main duties of the job
To deliver and maintain a professional administrative, clerical and data service for the day to day running of the Cardiac Day unit and to all its patients, relatives and colleagues. To be responsible for the bookings of all Cardiac day unit appointments, including Diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures following strict targets and guidelines. Responsible for adding referrals and information onto Epic, ensure patients receive appointments and necessary information needed for those appointments, cancelling and amending appointments as directed by the clinical team, booking transport as necessary.
