The post holder is part of the undergraduate medical education team at UHMBT, based in the education centre at Royal Lancaster Infirmary. Main duties of the job
- Providing administrative support to the undergraduate team in the planning and co-ordination of specialty timetables and clinical assessments for medical learners across UHMBT.
- Monitoring mandatory training for medical learners and reporting non-compliance to the undergraduate co-ordinators.
- Carrying out general office duties
- Organising inductions for new learners to the Trust
- Issuing certificates of attendance and letters of thanks to clinical teachers.
- Organising educational appraisals for medical educators and keeping appropriate records.
- Updating central documents accessed by the undergraduate team and partner medical schools.
- Taking part in the facilitation of medical student practical examinations
- Maintaining the undergraduate medical education intranet and internet sites ensuring they are kept up to date with key information.
- Ensuring that rooms are booked for undergraduate teaching with appropriate equipment and resources.
- Providing administrative support to the undergraduate co-ordinators in arranging students smartcards, Lorenzo accounts, IT accounts and access to updated Training information on the Trusts Training Management System (TMS) escalating any issues as appropriate to the undergraduate co-ordinators
- Communicating using various face-to-face and electronic means.
- Contributing to newsletters, publications and social media updates relevant to each year group.
