An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Co-ordinator/Admin Support within the Tuberculosis Team. The successful candidate will be high performing, experienced administrative worker with the ability to provide a comprehensive Clinic Co-ordination and administrative support to the Medical and Nurse Led clinics. The post-holder will be based at Cardiff Royal Infirmary (CRI)
Applicants will need to be highly organised, adaptable and able to work on your own initiative and prioritise your workload. The role includes a high level of communication with patients and their families and professionals from varying disciplines, so attention to detail and an excellent telephone manner is essential.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Contribute to an effective running of ‘front of house’ enquiry service to include dealing with personal and telephone enquiries and via email
Organise and process referrals according to clinical prioritisation, ensure that appointments are made within the required waiting time.
Organise clinics – allocate and send appointments and rearrange as necessary. Ensure that appointments offered are “reasonable” as defined in the Referral to Treatment Time (RTT) Policy.
Copy typing and audio typing outpatient clinic letters, discharge summaries, investigation result letters and general correspondence dictated by consultants and their teams under supervision. These can be non-routine and of a distressing nature.
