Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our experienced and motivated musculoskeletal physiotherapy team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-motivated, friendly, and professional individual with excellent organisational and communication skills. This is a full-time post, and you will be required to work both independently and as part of a team.

You would be joining a diverse group of physiotherapists, assistants, clinical specialists, and the lead clinical academic for therapies.

Main duties of the job

  • To assist qualified therapy staff to deliver patient care, assessment and treatment including individual and group sessions.
  • To carry out tasks, activities and responsibilities delegated by a qualified therapist. To follow instructions of treating qualified therapist to treat patients following a designated treatment plan.
  • To communicate with patients, carers and relatives to obtain specific information as directed by the therapist.
  • To deal sensitively and constructively with patients and carers who have high levels of anxiety frustration or aggression caused by a variety of issues, such as pain, poor prognosis or limited mobility.
  • Care Certificate competencies will need to be achieved within six months of commencement of employment.
  • To develop and improve clinical and non-clinical competencies through a work-based development programme.
  • To be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records in line with the legal requirements, trust guidelines and professional standard of practice.
  • Provide cover for colleagues as appropriate.
