Assisting the Theatre Management Team within DPOW with the safe running of the Gynaecology and Breast service in theatre, ability to support the team lead within obstetric theatre when needed would be desired to enable cross cover. Teaching and training staff and being the link between theatre and external areas.  Assisting with staff management and following HR process.

Main duties of the job

Assisting with the 24 hour responsibility for the theatre department in the absence of the Theatre Manager and Deputy. This includes the deployment of staff, equipment, supplies and other resources. Team Leaders are members of the multidisciplinary Theatre departmental team who undertakes duties in relation to perioperative practice. Caring for patients within the Theatre department. Reflecting the organisations commitment to quality and the expectations of high-quality nursing care in the Acute Hospital setting.
