Job summary
The Southampton Mental Health Liaison Team is a PLAN accredited service and is developed to meet the HIOW mental health transformation priorities. Our service operates at the vital interface between physical and mental health, delivering assessment, support and intervention to patients in acute hospital settings including the Emergency Department and inpatient wards.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, supportive, and forward-thinking team at a time of continued service development aligned to the national Core 24 model.
The role sits within our busy and supportive Mental Health Liaison Team, working across the Southampton General Hospital site. Please see below for further information on this role:
Team Secretary (Shift-Based Role)
- Provides administrative support to the wider multidisciplinary team
- 7-day rota, including weekends and bank holidays
- Shifts include; early, day, and late (between 07:00--21:00).
Main duties of the job
- To ensure quality secretarial / administration service is provided to the team and/or senior clinical colleagues
- To take and process telephone enquiries and referrals from University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHSFT) staff teams, General Practitioners, patients/clients, relatives, other hospitals and agencies.
- To support with the booking of appointments and diary co-ordination
- To be responsible for coordination of meetings including taking minutes in MDTs, Best Interest Meetings/Professional Meetings.
