The role:
No Band 2 roles are eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa or Heath and Care Worker visa. routes. For Band 3 roles, only posts of 32 hours per week or more may meet eligibility. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) cannot provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) for roles that do not meet these criteria, and applications requiring sponsorship will not be considered.
We are looking for an organised, reliable and motivated person to join our administrative team supporting the Cardiac Rehabilitation Service. This role provides vital secretarial and administrative support to the clinical team, ensuring high quality, patient centred care is delivered efficiently.
We provide holistic, person-centred care to enable individuals with heart disease to improve health outcomes, quality of life and reduce unnecessary admissions to hospital. This is achieved through timely outpatient assessments and rehabilitation programmes focusing on self-management of long term conditions through partnership working across the health and social care community.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
- The post will be based within the North Sector at Stobhill Hospital, however as we are a board wide service, there will be a need to provide remote secretarial cover across Greater Glasgow and Clyde Cardiac Rehabilitation service
- This is a permanent 22 hour per week post working Monday to Thursday
- Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours
Key responsibilities:
- The successful candidate is expected to learn quickly, be able to prioritise and manage their workload in a timely and efficient manner, to meet the demands presented daily by the multidisciplinary team members
- You will be part of a small admin team who covers all secretarial and admin duties for a busy Cardiac Rehabilitation Service
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
You must have a high level of computer literacy and some knowledge of electronic patient management systems would be advantageous. You must demonstrate sensitivity, diplomacy and excellent interpersonal skills
- HNC/SVQIII in Secretarial Studies/Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Proficient in use of software systems including Microsoft Office Packages
- Advanced keyboard skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure in the face of competing demands

From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
