ABOUT THE ROLE As a Team Leader at a Barchester care home, you'll help to make our residents' lives stimulating and fulfilling so that we can deliver the person-centred care and support they deserve. Always focusing on respecting our residents' independence, privacy, dignity and choice, you'll lead and supervise our Carers and Senior Carers with the support of a Registered Nurse or Care Practitioner. We'll rely on you to make sure individual care plans are followed to the letter so that we can achieve the highest standards. You'll also ensure each resident has lots of quality one-to-one time. The role of Team Leader here also involves some clinical responsibilities, including recording observations on things like weight and blood pressure, and carrying out simple wound dressing procedures. Across everything you do, you'll be a role model for your team and someone our residents and their families can trust to provide a safe, reassuring and happy environment. Main duties of the job

As a Team Leader at a Barchester care home, you'll be responsible for ensuring our residents' lives are both stimulating and fulfilling. The position focuses on providing person-centred care, with a deep respect for each resident's independence, privacy, dignity, and choice. You will lead a team of Carers and Senior Carers, backed by a Registered Nurse or Care Practitioner, to make sure each care plan is meticulously followed. You'll also manage clinical tasks such as recording observational data like weight and blood pressure and conducting basic wound dressing procedures. It is crucial to consistently offer one-on-one time with residents, serving as a reliable role model to both your team and the residents' families.At the senior level, you'll bring experience in caregiving and have had prior supervisory roles. A solid understanding of clinical care for older individuals is essential, accompanied by a Level 3 NVQ or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care. Along with these qualifications, a willingness to complete an assessor qualification is expected. An enthusiastic and tenacious approach with strong communication skills will enable you to instill trust in both your colleagues and the families of our residents.
