We are looking for an Administrator to join our friendly team within NHS Oxfordshire Talking Therapies on a full time basis.

The service provides talking therapies for people across Oxfordshire experiencing anxiety and depression and has recently been awarded further funding to expand the service.

This is a pivotal role within the Service as our Administrators are the first point of contact for patients wishing to self-refer. This is a busy and rewarding role and you will be contributing to the overall patient experience of the service.

This is a full time post 37.5 hours per week worked over a range of shifts of 08:00am-16:00pm, 09:0am-17:00pm and one late shift per week 12:00pm-20:00pm

Main duties of the job

  • You will act as the first point of contact for all patients wishing to refer themselves to the service via the telephone or online.
  • You will take confidential and sensitive information while processing the information on the team’s electronic database.
  • You will work closely with the Senior Administrators to ensure all referrals are processed efficiently, data entry is accurately gathered and recorded and the service has administrative support.
  • You will also liaise with Health Care Professionals, external organisations and our local GP surgeries.

Knowledge

Essential

  • Ability to “type and talk” in order to take referral information and process referrals accurately and efficiently.
  • Experience of using Office computer programs including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of using patient related electronic record systems, PCMIS & Rio.

Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience as an Administrator.

Desirable

  • NHS Experience

Personal qualities

Essential

  • Understanding of the need for confidentiality.
  • Dealing with clients in a caring and understanding way.

Desirable

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure/with distractions.
