Job overview

To provide a high-quality administration service to the Pre-assessment department. To serve and support all patients attending for an appointment, providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the pre-assessment nurses with day-to-day tasks, ensuring the smooth running of the service.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide prompt, efficient reception service to patients, visitors and staff.
  • Ensure effective communication and information flows both internally and externally.
  • Ensuring all information and patient’s notes are available to the nurses for clinic.
  • To arrange interpretation services for any relevant appointments.
  • To gather information for team members from other teams and agencies as required.
  • Contribute to delivering a high quality, efficient and effective service by complying with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Attending and booking of patient’s appointments for their clinic attendance within pre-assessment.
  • Ensure clinic outcomes are recorded correctly within Careflow.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Opening clinics as requested by senior pre-assessment team.
