Job overview

The post holder will be a central point of contact for volunteers and will support the Operations Manager and Operations Assistants, providing logistics support to facilitate day to day operations relating to the portfolio. This role will contribute to building resilient communities as a consequence of involving public and community agencies in the provision of appropriate and safe services.

Communicating effectively with WAST Volunteers, staff representatives and managers and Volunteer Management team on a regular basis, both individually and at team meetings, establishing and maintaining good and productive two-way service relations. Monitor standards of performance and recommend measures to improve compliance and address any deficits identified of the volunteers.

Main duties of the job

  • To be the central point of contact for all WAST volunteers and partner schemes.
  • To provide logistical and welfare support to facilitate day to day volunteer operations.
  • To contribute to service improvement, monitoring, and governance Responsibilities.
