Job summary

The successful candidate will be required to undertake efficient, accurate and timely Supply Chain duties in a busy, dynamic hospital environment. This will include complementing and interacting with the wider Procurement & Supply Chain teams, Clinical departments and Theatre functions.

Previous experience is desirable and preferably within a hospital environment. Good communication skills and knowledge of IT systems are essential.

Main duties of the job

The position involves using various IT systems utilising both desktop and handheld devices. The post covers a wide range of duties including Goods-In, stock replenishment, cycle counting, internal distribution and supporting the migration to a full Inventory Management system within the organisation. The post holder will work closely with the wider Supply Chain team but will also be required to work independently and unsupervised on occasion.

They will be required to follow safe manual handling practices to ensure deliveries are received, booked in and transported to their end destination safely and efficiently.
