Job overview

We are seeking to recruit a Stroke Audit Officer to co-ordinate the overall day-to-day delivery and development of Stroke activity and performance for the Stroke Service and Trust.

This post is pivotal in the collection of a wide range of data across the patient’s journey following a Stroke. The successful candidate will be required to work alongside the Stroke team inputting data accurately into the Stroke databases, therefore, experience in data entry is essential. This will include visiting clinical areas such as wards and departments to obtain the information required and then input the information into the Stroke SSNAP database. Good communication skills are essential as the role will involve multidisciplinary working in addition to working independently.

In addition, this role includes providing administrative/booking support the Transient Ischaemic Attack (TIA) service, during periods of absence, which sits within the Acute Stroke profile.

Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality is essential.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

To provide data input and analysis into regular reports and data files maintained and updated as required

Support with the maintenance and development of reporting and the creation and circulation of standard reports and documentation relating to SSNAP

Provide accurate data and information for Business Cases, Trust Projects and Programmes as and when required

Plan and organise own time within standard operating procedures

Undertake routine duties and other tasks as required

Through continuing professional development, maintain an up-to-date knowledge of SSNAP reporting, Stroke standards, procedures and national guidance

Provide annual leave and sickness support to the TIA service, which includes the booking of patient appointments, printing referrals answering/making telephone calls to patients
