Job overview

This role is a Band 5 staff nurse role on Ward G5 our Transplant ward.  You will join a highly skilled and enthusiastic team caring for a mixture of surgical and medical patients throughout the transplantation journey.  The unit cares for patients post renal / renal pancreas / liver / multi-visceral and modified multi-visceral transplant.

Main duties of the job

Undertake the role of a Band 5 Registered Nurse, delivering high-quality care to patients across all stages of the transplant pathway. Provide immediate post-operative care, including the assessment, monitoring, and management of acutely unwell patients. Recognise and respond to transplant-related complications, including acute rejection, ensuring timely escalation and appropriate intervention. Deliver holistic, patient-centred care and contribute to effective discharge planning in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Work under the guidance and support of senior nursing staff to ensure safe, evidence-based practice.

This vacancy is for Registered Nurses with full NMC registration. If you are an internationally trained nurse that has not passed their OSCE (objective structured clinical examination), you will not be considered for this role and will be automatically rejected, so please do not apply.
