Job overview

Rainbow Ward is seeking a proactive, enthusiastic Band 5 nurse to join the WWL family on our friendly Children’s Ward. The ward has benefited from recent investment to create a sensory zone, and a Teen Zone area, providing age appropriate spaces for our patients, day to day.

Rainbow ward is a 34 bedded integrated paediatric unit, including a 2 bedded HDU, caring for children aged 0 – 16 years with medical and surgical needs, giving staff who work on the ward a diverse range of patients to work with – no two days are ever the same!

We are looking to recruit to a 36 hour post, with a working pattern across 7 days (internal rotation).

NHS Employees should ideally secure their manager’s agreement for a secondment arrangement ideally prior to applying, as this will be a condition of any offer made. This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term basis as It has been established to cover maternity leave and will end in 12 months or when the substantive postholder returns.
