We have highly rewarding opportunities to join our multidisciplinary inpatient team. We are seeking motivated individuals with a passion for older adult mental health and a commitment in providing high quality care.
The team at Newhaven are friendly, supportive and exceptionally caring, putting patient care at the heart of the work we do to improve health care outcomes and service delivery.
We can offer up to 37.5 hours a week on a fixed term basis for 9 months. Our working patterns are 3-4 long days/ night (07:30-20:00/19:30-08:00) across a four-week period including weekends and bank holidays.

This is a fixed term post to provide cover for absence for specific purpose that we anticipate will be required for 9 months. We reserve the right to end this contract sooner with appropriate notice.
Main duties of the job
Role Requirements
We welcome newly qualified nurses and experienced nurses.
The ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels.
An enthusiastic, motivated and innovative thinker to become part of the Older Adult inpatient service.
The ability to work autonomously managing your own named patients, developing a plan of care.
The ability to problem solve, delegate, lead, co-ordinate and manage time effectively.
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills along with a flexible and responsive approach.
Day to Day elements
Close working with all members of the Multi-disciplinary Team.
Undertaking mental health needs assessments.
Assessment and Management of risk.
Liaising with other services such as, community mental health team, Hospital at Home Team, Mental Health Liaison Team and the Acute Trust.
Effective assessment through SBAR and care planning.
Delegation and shift management.
Supervising of junior staff, including students.
