We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Children’s Nurse to join our dynamic and forward thinking team at Bradford Royal Infirmary. The successful candidate will be joining ward 12 which is part of our Children and Young People’s unit. The unit also consists of ward 30/32 .
Main duties of the job
Ward 12 is the day case ward, it has 14 beds. We care for children undergoing planned and acute surgery under many specialities for example ENT, general, plastic, maxillo-facial and ophthalmology. We also run a paediatric haematology service from a dedicated area of the ward. Children who have respiratory conditions such as cystic fibrosis attend an ambulatory service on the ward for IV therapy and physiotherapy. We also run a pre-assessment clinic and a wound/dressing clinic.
