We host an MHRA accredited Phase 1 Clinical Research Facility and the NIHR Cheshire and Merseyside Commercial Research Delivery Centre. As a member of the Research Sponsorship Team, you will support the setup and delivery of research studies sponsored by UHLG partner trusts. You will help our researchers develop and deliver a portfolio of high quality studies addressing the needs of our patients, services and staff.
Main duties of the job
You will provide administrative support to the Research Sponsorship Team, contributing to the efficient setup, coordination and monitoring of the UHL Group’s sponsored research portfolio. You will also support the Head of Research Governance and Sponsorship in maintaining effective systems and processes that ensure high standards of research governance are maintained across the Group. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a background or interest in healthcare research.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
As part of the Research Sponsorship Team, you will help ensure all UHL Group sponsored research is delivered in line with established processes, SOPs and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include: • Work collaboratively with researchers, clinical teams and R&I colleagues to support the setup and tracking of sponsored studies across the group • Support compliance with research governance frameworks, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research • Maintain accurate, complete and auditable records across research systems and databases and assist with research IT systems administration • Contribute to reporting and monitoring of study progress against national targets and ensure Sponsor oversight is maintained for all studies • Provide administrative support to the Research Governance Team, including meeting coordination and documentation

- Education to Degree level or equivalent knowledge
