We’re looking for a motivated and compassionate nurse to join our team at the Butler Green Unit. In this role, you’ll deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care and play a key part in supporting adults through their rehabilitation journey.
As a valued member of our Intermediate Care (IC) and Enhanced Intermediate Care (EIC) services, you will use your clinical skills to carry out holistic and ongoing assessments, working independently to help patients regain independence and improve their wellbeing.
This is a role where you can truly shape patient outcomes. You’ll also take on supervisory and leadership responsibilities within the team, supporting colleagues and contributing to the smooth running of the service under the guidance of the Team Leader.

Main duties of the job
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high‑quality care and supporting the continuous improvement of our service. Your responsibilities will include:
- Communicating effectively with individuals and groups, including when discussing complex or sensitive information, and ensuring any barriers to communication are addressed
- Developing your clinical knowledge and skills, continually expanding your expertise within your area of practice
- Championing best practice in health, safety and security to maintain a safe environment for patients, colleagues and visitors
- Contributing to service development, sharing ideas and supporting improvements within the team
- Driving quality improvement, helping to enhance the standard of care we deliver
- Promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring that every person is treated with dignity and respect
- Assessing complex and changing health and wellbeing needs across your caseload, using strong clinical judgement
- Planning, delivering and evaluating personalised care programmes that respond to each patient’s evolving needs
- Leading and supporting team development, encouraging the sharing of knowledge, ideas and good practice
- Coordinating, allocating and monitoring work across the team and ensuring that physical and financial resources are used efficiently and responsibly

Essential
- Ability to coordinate your workload and supervise members of the team, ensuring high quality, safe and effective patient care
- IT Skills
Knowledge, Training & Experience
Essential
- Demonstrates evidence based clinical knowledge
- Communicates succinctly, clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing
- Be an effective team member who is able to relate to colleagues at all levels of the Trust with tact and diplomacy
Desirable
- Previous IMC or Rehabilitation experience
- Experience of the use of clinical systems
- Ability to use reflective practice, to continuously improve the standard of patient care
- Demonstrate initiative to proactively problem solve with a solution focus
Qualifications & Professional Registration
Essential
- Degree / diploma in nursing studies (or equivalent nursing qualification and experience)
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
Desirable
- Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)
