JOB SUMMARY

encompass is a HSC NI wide transformation Programme which enables a single digital care record for every citizen in Northern Ireland who receives health and social care. encompass aims to provide a digitally enabled whole system approach for patients and service users with the safest, highest quality, informed care.

The post holder will support the OD Team in providing efficient co-ordination and oversight of all encompass related learning activities and associated line management of the admin team.

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

The encompass Learning & Development Manager will play an important role in the local maintenance of the encompass Training Strategy across the organisation.

They will be responsible for the management of complex learning management system activities related to encompass training.

They will have line management responsibilities for the admin team with oversight of the OD mailbox(es) to assist in the coordination and delivery of OD Team processes and efficient support for encompass training queries and issues for our entire workforce.

They will provide advice, guidance and support to service managers and wider encompass project team related to the work of the OD Team and the provision of encompass training to the entire workforce of the Southern Trust.

The post holder will support the Head of Workforce & Organisational Development in all aspects of the delivery of encompass training and related activities and lead on key initiatives identified by the Head of Workforce & Organisational Development.

The post holder will liaise and work with both the local and regional encompass teams and professional leads, attending and participating in regional/internal meetings, advocating for and having oversight of the training needs and provision of encompass training for the workforce of the Southern Trust.

The post holder will be required to engage and promote modernised approaches for the management of change and ways in which to use technology to enhance training service provision related to encompass project ‘Business As Usual’ activities.

The post holder duties will include engagement with employees; managers and regional groups in the development of communication and best practice plans.

Analyse data sets, performing statistical analysis, managing data lists and data provision, updating dashboards etc. to ensure consistency in the provision of up-to-date information to encompass internal/regional trainers and professional leads and for service managers and wider Trust personnel as required.

Contribute to the production, development and maintenance of reports, audits, and statistics as required, bench-marking for areas of improvement and implementation of quality improvement ideas. Extract and analyse digital programme and encompass training activity from the regional Learning Management system, highlighting trends to the wider OD Team, encompass internal/regional trainers and professional leads and for service managers and wider Trust personnel as required.

To work collaboratively in partnership with managers and trade unions in relation to encompass training and people related issues.

To support the development and maintenance of the training plan for the OD Team related to encompass and undertake training as appropriate to fulfil the duties of the post.
