A development opportunity has arisen for Community Staff Nurses to provide leadership and support into our Community Nursing Team across 7 different locations within the following teams Worksop and Villages, Rushcliffe, Nottingham North and East, Mansfield and Newark teams. This is a secondment opportunity for the Community Nursing Team for a period of 12 months as a Senior Staff Nurse.
You must have significant community experience with the ability to motivate yourself and others. It is essential you have effective leadership skills and be committed to supporting integrated ways of working across our community nursing team.
Main duties of the job
You must be able to maintain the highest standards of quality care for your patients. You will be expected to manage a caseload of complex, high risk and supported self care patients. You will therefore demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and lead change within the community.
You will need to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary environment and be politically aware of service developments. You will be flexible, reliable and approachable.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Applicants must be 1st Level Registered General Nurse with current NMC Registration.
You must have evidence of recent diploma level study and hold 120 level 2 diploma credits or equivalent.
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

Qualification/Professional

- 1st Level Registered Nurse
- BSc Honours degree or equivalent/must be prepared to work towards completion of specialist practice community nursing course if successful
- Evidence of 120 level 2 credits in diploma level study
- Recognised teaching and mentoring qualification e.g. ENB 998 or FLIPS/SLIP
- Nurse Prescriber/or work towards V150 qualification
Desirable
- Demonstrates continued professional development to maintain professional registration
- Holds a mentorship qualification and has ability to provide mentorship to others
