Job responsibilities
As a Senior Nurse in our Pre-Operative Assessment pathway, you will lead safe, effective, patient-centred assessments.
Your duties include:
- Conduct pre-operative assessments, managing clinical risks before surgery
- Collaborate with consultants and MDT colleagues to optimize patients for theatre
- Enhance pre-assessment processes to improve outcomes
- Provide leadership in a fast-paced Outpatient environment
- Ensure patient safety and dignity
This role demands strong clinical judgement, attention to detail, and teamwork.
What You'll Bring
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
- Significant experience in Pre-Operative Assessment
- Senior Staff Nurse experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Excellent communication and IT skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Proactive, flexible, team-focused attitude
- Evidence of professional development
Experience in independent healthcare is a plus.
