Dolphin ward is a 16 bedded Cardiac Unit including a 6 bedded Cardiac High Dependency Unit. For children with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) we are the regional level 1 centre covering the entire South West of England and South Wales
Ideal candidates will • Be able to demonstrate excellent inter-personal and communication skills • Have the ability to create and maintain relationships with a variety of clinical and non-clinical staff. • Have the ability to manage a busy workload and to prioritise, quickly find solutions and to focus on the important issues when decision making is essential. • Have evidence of effective leadership, clinical credibility and have experience of working at a Band 5 level or above. Recent experience in Paediatric cardiac nursing and high dependency care is essential.
The successful candidate will: • Be supported in leading a team of nurses to develop both professionally and personally

Qualifications & registrations
Essential
- RGN.1st Level or relevant children’s qualification
- Current NMC Registration
- 1st Degree in nursing or health related subject or working towards
- Qualification in Teaching, assessing and Mentoring
Desirable
- Willingness to work towards Masters level academic study
