We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Senior Sexual Health Nurse to join our caring and progressive team in Eastbourne and Hastings.

You’ll use your clinical skills to:
- Deliver nurse-led clinics.
- Shift co-ordination.
- Provide holistic, person-centred assessment, treatment, and education.
- Support partner notification, safeguarding, and health improvement initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and students, helping build a supportive learning culture.
- Take part in service development and quality improvement work that reflects our CARE values — Compassionate, Aspirational, Responsive and Excellent.

Main duties of the job
Our team delivers high-quality evidence-based care to people to support their sexual health needs.
You’ll be part of an enthusiastic and passionate team dedicated to keeping people in Kent and Medway safe and well, now and in later life, by providing contraception, treatment for sexually-transmitted infections, and advice and support to maintain healthy relationships.
You’ll provide sound clinical judgement and leadership to support our team to safely deliver patient-centred care, and consistently monitor quality and progress in a challenging but rewarding environment.

Knowledge and Skills
Essential
- Able to be able to use IT systems and databases
- Knowledge of up to date clinical practice by using up- to- date skills and adhering to evidence based procedures and clinical effectiveness
- fully understand the role and remit of a sexual health nurse
Desirable
- Understanding of National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance
Qualifications, training and experience
Essential
- Level 6 Degree or equivalent qualification, or equivalent knowledge acquired through experience plus a diploma in nursing
- Registered health care professional with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
- Hold the relevant STIF intermediate qualification.
- Experience of managing complex caseloads and supporting/ mentoring others
