Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior Rota Co-Ordinator post, supporting the Obstetrics and Gynaecology medical rotas within Womens CSU. This is a fixed-term post for 12 months.

Main duties of the job

This is a new, exciting post within the CSU. Working closely with clinicians, the postholder will be responsible for the management and development of medical rotas within the CSU. This is a dynamic role and the postholder will need to be proactive, able to work independently and able to prioritise their own workload, adapting to short notice changes.

Job responsibilities

Why you should join our Team

Women’s CSU delivers maternity care across both Leeds General Infirmary (LGI) and St James University Hospital (SJUH). Leeds maternity services are a busy, research active tertiary centre providing regional obstetric services including specialist fetal medicine, maternal medicine and placenta accreta services to much of North and West Yorkshire. The LGI is co-located with a Level 3 surgical (incl cardiac) NNU.

The CSU also delivers gynaecology care predominantly at SJUH, with some elective gynaecology work also taking place at Wharfedale Hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the significant medical workforce expansion across Women’s CSU and to work collaboratively with clinicians to ensure efficient rota management.

What you will bring to the role

Responsibility for the management of all on-call rotas within Women’s CSU

Responsibility for the management and approval of medical staff’s annual leave, study leave and sickness leave

The job holder will provide the focal point of communication for all medical staff, both within the CSU and with external bodies using judgment to facilitate a successful outcome of all

The job holder will manage within the constraints of the agreed locum budget for medical staffing.
