Job summary
We are recruiting a Senior Recovery Navigator to join our Access Community Mental Health Team in Swindon to manage Recovery Navigators to enable them to work collaboratively with the client, GP, and other health and care professionals to ensure people with moderate-serious mental health needs are supported to connect to their community, to build resilience and to improve their wellbeing. To hold a caseload of clients, helping them set and achieve personal recovery goals and connect to meaningful support within their community. As part of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Partnership in Bath and Northeast Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW), Second Step delivers community mental health support in collaboration with Alabar, Missing Link and Nilaari. Together, were transforming mental health services by focusing on trauma-informed, person-centered, and culturally inclusive approaches.

Job responsibilities
Manage a team of Recovery Navigators, providing 1:1s, supervisions, and developing Personal Development Plans in line with Second Steps policies and procedures. Screen referrals and carry out support conversations (if appropriate) to ascertain the best support route/service for the client; completing relevant paperwork on electronic systems and carrying out follow up calls. Attend and contribute in a positive and proactive way to daily handovers and Multi-Disciplinary Discussions, as well as building collaborative relationships with external stakeholders. Case manage and co-ordinate support, referring and liaising effectively with all professionals, agencies and other parties involved in a clients support. Supporting Recovery Navigators in the effective management of risk by providing guidance and oversight on escalated concerns, including safeguarding matters and incident management. Promote recovery, inclusion, and equity in everything you do.
