These are: We are kind We are respectful We work together with our communities The post holder will achieve this by: Acting as a senior clinician within NELFT Adult ADHD Service which will provide specialist advice & guidance, screening for symptoms of ADHD. Also providing early interventions, diagnostic assessment, and ongoing support with mental health through psychological interventions. Providing specialist post intervention services to individuals referred to the Adult ADHD Service. Providing comprehensive mental health needs and risk assessments of clients within the Adult ADHD Service. Providing consultation and liaison to other professionals working with individuals within the Adult ADHD Service in the Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge, and Waltham Forest. Contributing to delivery of specialist ADHD training across different tiers of service and within the wider professional network.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities: To be responsible for organising and prioritising own and others workload in the day-to-day allocation of work. To deputise when required in the team managers absence. To have organisational knowledge relating to Trust protocols and procedures and adhere to them. To be responsible for providing accurate records of information required by the Trust for audit purposes. To ensure effective risk management at team level by accident/incident reporting, assessing risk and ensuring they are added to the Trust register when appropriate. Clinical Skills To be responsible for undertaking comprehensive diagnostic assessment of referred individuals. To provide signposting to referred clients and their families. To support the delivery of brief intervention, low and high intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for those people diagnosed with ADHD either as individuals or as a group using evidence-based approaches. To provide direct supervision to less experienced colleagues. To provide consultation to other clinical teams within NELFT regarding clients with possible ADHD. To conduct ongoing assessments for ADHD comorbid with depression/anxiety and or other conditions. Assessments to include risk / need in relation to the individual and their families.

As a senior clinician, you will combine expert clinical practice with leadership, supervision, service development, and training responsibilities while working alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving outcomes for adults with ADHD.

The Role

You will:

Conduct specialist ADHD assessments and diagnostic evaluations Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions, including CBT Support adults experiencing ADHD alongside anxiety, depression, and other co-occurring mental health difficulties Provide clinical leadership, consultation, and expert advice across services Supervise qualified practitioners, trainees, and students Lead service improvement, audit, and research initiatives Contribute to specialist ADHD training across mental health services and partner organisations

About You

We're looking for a warm, compassionate, and experienced clinician who is passionate about improving the lives of adults with ADHD. Whether you're a Clinical Psychologist or a Counselling Psychologist. Holding BABCP-accredited CBT qualification would be advantages, but not essential. You'll bring a strong track record of delivering high-quality psychological assessment and intervention, along with the confidence to work with complex mental health presentations. You'll enjoy working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, be keen to share your knowledge through supervision and training, and have a genuine interest in helping shape and develop services. Most importantly, you'll share our commitment to person-centred care, continuous learning, and making a meaningful difference for the communities we serve.

You'll be someone who:

• Has substantial post-qualification experience in ADHD, cognitive disorders, or related mental health services.
• Enjoys building therapeutic relationships and helping people achieve positive outcomes.
