Main duties of the job

Responsible for managing and leading on strategic and trustwide programmes to ensure successful implementation of a portfolio of work involving several projects or workstreams to a high quality standard.

An important part of the role is ensuring the programmes of work are robustly managed, tracked, and monitored with risks and issues clearly identified and mitigated. Reports will be published and provided to key boards where required.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The postholder will be expected to be skilled in:

  • Management of large programmes of work involving 3rd parties as well as wider trust representatives and leads.
  • Ensure programmes of work follow appropriate project governance and relevant documentation and highlight reporting.
  • Ensuring clinical safety aspects are fully accounted for working with Clinical Safety Officers throughout the trust.
  • Ensure programmes of work are fully approved with appropriate procurement and financial approval.
  • Ensure risks and issues are managed and mitigated in accordance with any decisions tracked and noted.
  • Work with wider digital services colleagues to track and understand impact of change, engagement and benefits tracking.
