Job overview

The Infection Prevention and Control Team are looking for a forward thinking, enthusiastic person to join the team to support the delivery of excellence in Infection Prevention and Control practice and work closely with clinical teams to audit IPC practice and develop improvement programmes. This is a fantastic opportunity for career progression and a chance to develop leadership skills. The post holder must hold a current professional registration.

The post holder will deliver specialist infection prevention & control practice across the Trust, in all of the Trust sites, in a patient centred, clinically effective way in line with Trust policies, procedures and national guidelines.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a compassionate individual that can demonstrate excellent communication skills and is committed to driving change forward.

Applicants will need to be a visible, reliable, and flexible leader ensuring high standards of care are given at all times.

The successful candidate may be required to deputise for the Senior Sister in their absence. They will be able to build professional working relationships and provide support to other team members.
