NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is a unique organisation that works to save and improve lives every day. We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst with a focus on Data Quality who is passionate about making a difference with data to join the NHSBT Data Intelligence Programme. You will lead on Data Quality for the programme, developing a Data Quality Framework and driving data quality improvements across core data sets. You will help to enable robust and meaningful data and analysis, which are key to unlocking insights to drive improvements in donor and patient care through innovative, efficient, and high-quality services. The programme is a central enabler of the organisations ambitions to ensure blood stock resilience, improve clinical quality, and deliver more efficient, safe, inclusive, and resilient operations while providing a faster, timelier, and reliable source of intelligence for our managers. Main duties of the job
- Deliver high-quality analysis, reporting and business intelligence to support Blood Supply and organisational objectives.
- Extract, integrate and analyse complex datasets using tools such as SQL, Power BI and Excel.
- Develop dashboards, reports and visualisations to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Present complex information clearly to a wide range of audiences, including senior leaders.
- Provide expert advice on data analysis and interpretation to support business decisions.
- Manage and support a team of analysts, including coaching, mentoring and performance management.
- Support projects and programmes by developing data solutions and monitoring performance and impact.
- Ensure data quality, governance and compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Work collaboratively across teams and with stakeholders to deliver impactful insights.
- Promote the use of data and analytics to support continuous improvement and evidence-based decision making.
