We are looking for four enthusiastic, motivated, and caring Senior Clinical Support Workers to join our supportive teams across the three Orthopaedic Wards at Leeds General Infirmary (L9, L34 and L35). Main duties of the job
As a Senior Clinical Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing safe, effective, and patient-centred care across all stages of the patient pathway. You will also support the day-to-day supervision and development of Band 2 Clinical Support Workers and learners, helping to enhance the quality of care and patient experience across our wards. We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant or Clinical Support Worker who is ready to progress into a Band 3 role and develop their leadership skills. The successful candidate will be supported to complete training and achieve competency in venepuncture and cannulation within three months of appointment.

Qualifications and Training
Essential
- NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care, Diploma in Health Level 3, Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 or equivalent experience.
- The Care Certificate or in the absence of this the jobholder must successfully attain the Care Certificate within the first 3 months of employment.
- Commitment to undergo training and education as required.
Desirable
- Basic skills Maths and English Level 2 (equivalent of GCSE 4-9 (A*-C)).
Special Knowledge including experience

- Significant experience of working within a healthcare setting delivering personal and clinical care.
- Utilisation of planning and organisational skills
