At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.

In relation to Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker roles, we are currently able to recruit successfully from the domestic labour market and have a sufficient pool of suitably qualified and appointable candidates. As a result, visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time. This position is kept under regular review and may change in the future should labour market conditions or service requirements alter.

Employers should note that visa applications are assessed against the Immigration Rules in force at the time of application. There is no guarantee that roles meeting current eligibility or salary thresholds will continue to do so in future

Important information for applicants: To ensure clarity of accountability, scope of practice and professional responsibilities, the Trust does not normally appoint individuals holding active NMC or HCPC registration into Band 2 Clinical/AHP Support Worker, Band 3 Senior Clinical/AHP Support Worker or Band 4 AHP Support Worker/Technician roles. SCH@RSUH sits within the University Hospital of the North Midlands NHS Trust which serves the population of Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire and beyond providing both local and tertiary services.

We are looking for a compassionate, motivated, and patient‑centred Senior Care Support Workers to join our team at SCH@RSUH. You will play a vital role in supporting children, young people, and their families throughout their healthcare journey, ensuring high‑quality, safe, and holistic care.

Working under the supervision of registered nurses and other clinicians, you will help deliver hands‑on care, provide emotional reassurance, and contribute to creating a positive experience in our paediatric services.
