We are looking for a Senior Business and Performance Improvement Manager who combines intellectual curiosity and analytical rigour with a strong delivery focus.
The postholder will be comfortable constructively challenging senior leaders, explaining complex information to clinical and non-technical audiences, and moving from insight to sustained improvement. They will be collaborative, inclusive and resilient, able to work autonomously at pace while maintaining accuracy, good judgement and a clear focus on better care and better use of resources.

Experience
Essential
- Substantial senior-level NHS experience in business management, operational performance, information, service improvement or a closely related function within a large and complex organisation.
- Proven experience of developing and implementing performance management frameworks, metrics, reporting and review processes across multiple services or divisions.
- Proven experience of improving data quality and working with Digital or informatics teams to develop meaningful dashboards and business intelligence products.
- Highly developed analytical capability, including interpretation and triangulation of complex datasets and communication of findings to executive, clinical and operational audiences.
- Experience of leading complex cross-organisational improvement, recovery, transformation or productivity programmes and delivering measurable benefits.
- Experience of annual business planning, demand and capacity, financial recovery or cost improvement, business cases, risk management and benefits realisation.
- Experience of line management and of leading through influence within complex matrix arrangements.
Qualifications
Essential
- Master’s degree or equivalent knowledge and experience in business management, performance, analytics, improvement, healthcare management or a related field.
- Relevant postgraduate management, leadership, programme management, improvement or analytics qualification, or equivalent specialist experience.
- Evidence of extensive and recent continuing professional development in performance management, business intelligence, quality improvement and senior leadership.
