To provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Children and Young People's Intensive Mental Health Services (CYPIMHS) and Eating Disorders Services, including CAMHS Crisis & Intensive Home Treatment (CCIHT), Inspire Inpatient and Day Services, and associated CYPIMHS pathways. The post holder will contribute to the effective and efficient delivery of services through the provision of high-quality administrative support, ensuring the accurate management of information, patient records, referrals, appointments, and service communications.
The post holder will work as part of the wider administrative team, providing cross-cover and flexible support across CYPIMHS and Eating Disorder Services, including Community Eating Disorders and the Eating Disorders Intensive Treatment Team (EDITT), during periods of annual leave, sickness absence, or service need. The role will support the engagement of children, young people, and families, and contribute to the delivery of safe, responsive, and patient-centred services.
Main duties of the job
Provide administrative and secretarial support across CYPIMHS and Eating Disorders Services, including CAMHS Crisis & Intensive Home Treatment (CCIHT), Inspire Inpatient and Day Services, Community Eating Disorders, and EDITT, as required.
There will be a requirement to provide a service between 8.00 am and 8.00 pm over a six-day period, Monday to Saturday, to meet the needs of children and young people and support service delivery. The post holder will work as part of the wider administrative team, providing cross-cover and flexible support across CYPIMHS and Eating Disorder Services, including Community Eating Disorders and the Eating Disorders Intensive Treatment Team (EDITT), during periods of annual leave, sickness absence, or service need. The role will support the engagement of children, young people, and families and contribute to the delivery of safe, responsive, and patient-centred services.

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Person specification
Experience
Essential
- Demonstrable experience of practice and procedures relevant to the area of work
- Experience of using a range of IT systems, including Microsoft Office applications
- Experience of preparing agendas and papers, writing minutes, noting and monitoring the completion of actions
Desirable
- Working knowledge of mental health, learning disabilities and autism services.
- Experience of audio/use of Microsoft Teams
Skills and Competencies
Essential
- Able to demonstrate inter-personal communication skills
- Able to plan and prioritise effectively
- Good telephone manner
- Ability to commute between the various sites
Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential
- ‘A’ Level/BTEC Diploma/NVQ3 Business Administration/Customer Service or equivalent experiential learning OR demonstrable experience within A&C field at Advanced level
- 3 or more GCSE/O levels which must include English and Maths
- Basic knowledge of the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Autism Programme
- Advanced keyboard skills: RSA/OCR III or equivalent/Advanced ECDL
