Our security team ensure all people are safe, and also feel safe, by providing a friendly and visible presence 24/7 as part of a rota system. The team accounts for our patient and staff’s individual needs when delivering their service, which are diverse in nature.
This supports our Trust values of Kind, Safe and Effective and are looking for likeminded candidates to join our team that prioritise these values too
The Team also protects all Trust property against loss, theft and damage and incidents of fire.
Main duties of the job
To maintain good order and prevent public disorder on the Trust site
The protection of patients, staff, contractors and visitors against acts of violence, aggression and abuse
The protection of Trust property against loss, theft and damage and incidents of fire
The protection of property belonging to patients, staff, visitors and contractors against loss, theft and damage

Qualifications
Essential
- Possess/complete an accredited SIA course in static guarding/CCTV or equivalent or willingness to gain qualification
Desirable
- First Aider qualified
- Conflict resolution certified training
- Physical Intervention certified training
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Knowledge of work procedures and practices for the provision of a security service, including liaison with external organisations, basic knowledge of law
- Experience of working with the general public
- Experience of working well within a team
- Basic knowledge of criminal law
Desirable
- Knowledge of Health and Safety law and associated legislation.
- Experience of working within NHS
