
An opportunity has arisen to join our current screener to provide the school vision screening service across Cornwall and Isles of Scilly. You will be testing the visual acuity of children between the age of 4- 5 years within reception year at the schools within the county.
You will hold a NVQ in Health and Social Care or Education and have some experience of working with children.
The post is based at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro, but you will be expected to travel to schools anywhere within Cornwall. You must therefore have a current full, clean driving licence and have access to your own car.
This post forms part of the orthoptic team, within the ophthalmology service.
This is a part time post working 20 hours per week term time only over 4 days.

The post holder will be responsible for assessing the visual acuity of children aged between 4-5 years old, within the primary school setting using a LogMAR visual acuity test.
