Think again! Here at St Marks Hospital, Maidenhead, we have an inpatient ward, soon to become two wards, with a brand new modern ward set to open this year. The service delivers care for adults with a wide variety medical and post-surgical conditions. Our patient cohort is referred from both acute hospital and community settings.

BHFT actively encourages the development of our staff, and as a result our team of RNs have the opportunity to follow the career path suitable to them – this can be developing autonomous nursing skills, management skills, or supporting you to be the best Registered Nurse you can be.  Unfortunately, we are unable to recruit overseas applicants who require relocation or OSCE for NMC registration though this post.

We are looking for nurses that are flexible and can cover shifts over a 24 hour, 7 day a week service.

The post is being recruited from and initially working at Jubilee Ward, Upton Hospital, Albert Street, Slough, SL1 2BJ in the short term. However, the substantive/permanent base for this role will be St Mark's Hospital, St Mark's Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 6DU. The successful candidate may be required to work across Trust sites in line with service requirements

Main duties of the job

Work closely as part of the Multi Disciplinary Team for the care of patients requiring medical and rehabilitation support, predominantly post an acute hospital stay.

Responsible for the assessment of care needs, development and implementation of patient centered care. Promoting independence and safe discharge home.

Working with junior members of staff in all aspects of patient care, participating in training and support.
