An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Band 5 Registered Nurse to join the Community Planned Care Business Unit. This role offers clinical experience in multiple specialities across our community hospital outpatient departments, including Long Eaton, Ilkeston, Heanor, Ripley, St Oswald’s in Ashbourne and Florence Nightingale Hospital, Derby.
We are looking for adaptable professionals who can work effectively both as independent practitioners and as collaborative team members. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care while smoothly transitioning between different clinic environments. Because this position involves regular cross-site working across multiple locations, being a car driver and owner is an essential requirement for the role.
This position is ideal for a nurse seeking to build strong professional networks across the region, and enjoy a varied working week.

Main duties of the job
This role incorporates cross site working to support Outpatient services at all our community sites when required.
Applicants must have evidence of updated personal development, excellent interpersonal skills, be flexible, have an ability to work under pressure, and a strong desire to work in an Outpatient setting.
Previous NHS and outpatient experience would be desirable but not essential.
Outpatients services positively support the learning and development of their staff.
A teaching or preceptorship qualification would be beneficial. Please note that these hours don't form set shift patterns and will be worked flexibly according to the needs of the service and may include some evening and weekend work.
