Job summary

We are looking for a Registered Mental Health (RMN/RNLD) with a passion for delivering the best quality of care. You will be expected to work 38.5 per week, working days and nights shifts on a rota basis. (shift times 8:00am to 8:15pm; 8:00pm to 8:15am) at Cygnet Lodge Woking. Marlowe Ward is a 12 bed High Support Inpatient Rehabilitation (Level 2) service that delivers high-quality care within a community atmosphere, while focusing on discharge planning from the moment service users arrive. Milligan House is an eight bed service that is an annexe to the main building, containing six pre-discharge beds with an additional two self-contained flatlets. The service includes High-Support Inpatient Rehabilitation (Level 2) and Community Rehabilitation (Level 1). This dual-level rehabilitation model ensures that men receive the support they need while developing independence at their own pace.

Cygnet Lodge Wokings rehabilitation services are split over 2 wards, Marlowe Ward and Milligan House. Individuals often come to us following multiple placement breakdowns, failed treatment programmes or they may be stepping down from secure settings. Our aim is to understand, stabilise and break the traumatic cycles of relapse that can impact an individuals life.

  • Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments & observations
  • Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, & improve quality
  • Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing
  • Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives & other healthcare professionals
  • Administer medicines within healthcare procedure & Healthcare Commission guidelines

An experienced RMN / RNLD with a current Pin Number, you'll have..

Essential:

  • The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits & demonstrate integrity in your role
  • A good understanding of the latest nursing practices
  • A commitment to patient recovery in order to effectively monitor, manage & reduce risk
  • Compassion, resilience & a dedication to empower & support service user independence

Desirable:

  • The ability to deputise in a clinical lead role
  • An interest in leadership, research & assessment
