Job summary
An amazing opportunity has arisen for band 5 nurses to join our team at Antelope House, a busy inner city acute mental health unit serving the population of Southampton band on occasion those requiring acute inpatient care from wider Hampshire Trust footprint. Antelope comprises of 3 acute inpatient wards, one male and 2 female, and a male Psychiatric Intensive Care Ward. The unit also houses the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment team and the Neuromodulation centre. There is a strong multidisciplinary ethos at Antelope and diversity is welcomed and celebrated . All teams are working towards accreditation with the PICU and CRHTT being fully accredited. Successful applicants will receive full induction, free parking on payment of refundable deposit and access to reflective practice and ongoing supervision and training.
Main duties of the job
As a newly qualified nurse you will undertake your preceptorship program for the first 6 months, where you will be supported/supervised by experienced band 6/7s. Throughout your preceptorship you will have mandatory training, monthly preceptorship days and support in house from practice development team. Once you have finished your preceptorship you will have many opportunities to continue to develop your professional practice.
As an experienced band 5, we will facilitate progression pathways to band 6 dependent of you preferred pathway.

Antelope House is based in the heart of Southampton with excellent transport links and close to the city centre, shops and parks. Excellent location, and great for further commutes such as London.
