We are looking to appoint a full-time Recruitment Team Leader.
You will have responsibility for a small team of recruitment officers and oversee allocated divisions, you will train, supervise and support your officers to ensure compliance and the smooth running of the department. You will oversee the work of team members to ensure KPI's are met consistently, You will carry out 121's, PDR's, and deal with sickness/disciplinary issues should they arise. You will also have significant reporting responsibility.
Building strong relationships with key stakeholders is essential for this role, and you’ll work closely with service users including candidates, line managers, divisional leads, the Executive team, external professional bodies and other partnering trusts. You will also deliver training sessions to Recruiting Managers on the Trac system.
The Recruitment department are a small and friendly team of people, who administer the Recruitment process for a broad range of staff across all disciplines. You would be the first point of call for any issues or questions that may arise within your allocated divisions.
This is a key role that offers a great opportunity to build your experience in high‑level administrative tasks and processes, while also developing valuable management skills as you support and guide your team.
Main duties of the job
As a Recruitment Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring that the Recruitment process for all appointed candidates is carried out in accordance with the Trust’s Recruitment and Selection Procedure and in compliance with the NHS Employers Standards.

- Experience of working within NHS Recruitment Setting
- Be committed to providing excellent customer service
- Have the ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to delegate work confidently and organise your team on a daily basis
- Willingness to cover for colleagues and deputise for the Recruitment Manager in their absence
- Ability to confidently explain procedures and processes to colleagues and Recruiting Managers
- Be confident in providing reports when requested
- Knowledge of recruitment practices, legislation, NHS Employers policies and procedures

- Good standard of general education, GCSE’s in Maths and English to Grade C level or equivalent.
- NVQ 3 in Business Administration or Customer Care or CIPD Foundation level Certificate in HR Practice or equivalent experience
