The post holder will be required to cover reception and contribute to the smooth running of the base by providing clerical support to the service administrator and other clinical services within the building.

Receptionist will provide an efficient professional front line outpatients and switch board service. This will include administrative duties and completing patient check ins and making future appointments.
As the first point of contact for patients, visitors, contractors and staff, applicants must be able to demonstrate a high standard of customer care combined with the ability to work calmly in a busy environment.
Post holder will be required to record and relay clear accurate messages dealing with both telephone and face to face enquiries.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The reception/clerical team is the first point of contact for patients and members of the public, contractors and staff. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a high standard of customer care combined with the ability to work calmly in a busy environment.
It is essential that applicants have good written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent organisation and time management skills.
Applicants must be IT literate and able to demonstrate computer skills.
Post holder will be required to record and relay clear accurate messages dealing with both telephone and face to face enquiries.
The ability to prioritise work and respond to enquiries in a professional manner is essential. Applicants should be able to work unsupervised, using their own initiative.
Good working knowledge of Emis and Cerner databases will be an advantage, however training can be provided if necessary. Experience in dealing with members of the public is essential.
