Job summary
As a receptionist you'll be the first point of contact for anyone visiting the site, providing a friendly and professional welcome. You'll greet patients, visitors, staff and contractors, answering queries and ensuring everyone feels supported.
Alongside managing the reception desk, you'll handle phone calls, issue keys and fobs. You'll also carry out a range of clerical and administrative tasks, working closely with different teams to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.You'll need to be proactive, respectful, and mindful of the needs of patients, including during challenging situations. You'll need to be resourceful and able to resolve a wide range of issues you might face making this a challenging and rewarding role.
Main duties of the job
Providing a high quality efficient reception service and acting as a first point of contactYou'll provide a warm welcome to patients, visitors, staff, contractors and anyone else who visits the site and answer any queriesYou'll answer the phone and deal with any queries people haveBeing proactive and working with a range of teams to deal with and resolve any issues you are faced withCarrying out a range of clerical and administrative tasks, for the reception itself, as well as other teamsIssuing and controlling access to keys and fobsYou will come into contact with patients and need to be conscious of your safety as well as mindful of their needs. In addition you may be present during difficult situations
