This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to support the Emergency Care Collaborative in the leadership and management of the Emergency Department at CIC with a specific focus on CQC recovery following recent inspection .

Main duties of the job

The role will provide leadership at team level and will support the Collaborative Lead nurse and Operational Managers. the post holder will have responsibility for:

  • the delivery of safe, quality emergency department services (safety, effectiveness and patient experience)
  • the quality performance of key trust wide care priorities and standards
  • ensuring clinical nursing engagement, taking responsibility for clinical governance, safety and risk management within the service
  • providing leadership, support and advice to the ED team
  • Contribute as appropriate to Collaborative strategy development and implementation
  • Supporting and deputising for the Senior Leadership Team
