We have an exciting opportunity for a Psychosocial Team Lead to join our Substance Misuse team at HMP Winchester, a category B Prison located in Winchester.

HMP Winchester is a Male prison with a capacity for 706 inmates. We are recruiting for a Psychosocial Team Lead for oversee the Substance Misuse Recovery Team. As a Psychosocial Team Lead, you will lead and direct the provision of Integrated Substance Misuse PSI services within the HMP Winchester whilst ensuring that the treatment approaches and interventions are appropriate, innovative and fully meet the needs of the service users, the organisation and commissioners. This position is based fully on site with no remote working. There is free parking on site.

Monday - Friday

37.5 hours per week

Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £42,000 per annum

Main duties of the job

As a Psychosocial Team Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Assist the Integrated Substance Misuse Service Manager in the delivery and continuous development of substance misuse services.
  • Lead and develop the provision of psychosocial services and interventions within the prison acting as a subject matter expert.
  • Ensure that the treatment approaches are appropriate, innovative and fully meet the needs of the service users, the organisation and commissioners.
  • Lead by example and provide guidance and line management support to recovery workers whilst supporting them with their front line work.
  • Manage a small caseload of complex individuals ensuring the plan of care is individualised to the patients needs.
  • Be responsible for the appropriate allocation of patients referred in to the team and ensure multi-disciplinary working is evident.

  • You will have a good standard of education up to NVQ level 5 in a relevant subject e.g. addiction, psychology, counselling, social work
  • Experience of working within the substance misuse field

  • Knowledge of DANOS
