Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Project Support Officer to join the Rotherham Adult Mental Health Care Group's Continuous Service Improvement  Team. The role will be fixed term until 31st March 2027 to support the care group with the implementation of projects determined by the priorities of the organisation.

Main duties of the job

The Project Support Officer will provide essential administrative, coordination, and support functions to assist the Continuous Service Improvement lead in the successful delivery of projects. This role will ensure that project activities are well-organised, deadlines are met, and documentation is accurate and up to date. The Project Support Officer will play a key role in supporting the  team and maintaining effective project management processes within the care group.

  • Previous NHS/Social Services experience
  • Experience of proactively challenging staff and influencing them to change
  • Experience of assisting on project planning/management

Qualifications

Essential

  • 5 GCSE’s including English or equivalent standard of education with the emphasis on numeracy and literacy.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent knowledge of experience.
  • ECDL or equivalent knowledge which demonstrates proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc

Desirable

  • Management qualification i.e. ILM
  • OCR / RSA III Typing / Word Processing
  • Prince2 foundation (or similar) project management accreditation / training
