The Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust has embarked on the challenging and exciting task of implementing a new inventory system aiming to have better practices and visibility of stock control, reducing costs, and increasing patient safety through the Scan4Safety initiative.
We are looking for a pro-active, organised, self-motivated and ambitious Stock Controller to join our Inventory Management Team.
The candidate will have excellent IT skills, experience in IT stock control Systems and Microsoft packages, great communication skills and be able to work as part of a team or independently.
This is a full-time post working 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00).
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be a key player in maintaining the stock control management in our Theatres areas using our Ingenica 360 Inventory system. Tasks will include daily communication with clinicians and suppliers, management of all tracked to patient products and implementation of the new system across new areas.
The post requires the ability for frequent prolonged periods of concentration with the ability to respond and deal with complex and urgent situations as they arise. The post-holder should be able to work on their own initiative, working independently with minimal supervision.
